The Rouge Valley Conservation Centre offers guided interpretive hikes and walks through the Rouge Valley and special events throughout the year.


Dates, times and themes for the hikes are listed in detail below. All hikes are lead by Rouge Valley Conservation Centre volunteers and usually run about 2 hours in length. The hikes are “pay what you can” with a suggested donation of $2 per person. All money collected goes to the upkeep of the Rouge Valley Conservation Centre and
its programs. All donations are greatly appreciated. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $25 or more.


The Rouge Valley Conservation Centre also holds special events throughout the year. Events for the month, if any, are listed below. Please consult the special events section of our website for more detailed information.

July 2012 Hikes and Events

Dates: from July 3, 2012 - August 24, 2012

Ages: Children 5 - 12 years of age

Cost: $200/child/wk

Register by April 15, 2012 and pay $175/child/wk

The Rouge Valley Conservation Centre is excited to offer children ages 5-12 the opportunity to join our new Summer Day Camp program from July 3 - August 24, 2012. Children will have an exciting and fun filled day exploring nature and learning about our weekly themes with our trained staff. Click here for more information.

Walks take place rain or shine, except during thunderstorms. Please wear season-appropriate clothing and hiking footwear. The walks are “pay what you can” with a suggested donation of $2 per person. Please meet at the east end of the parking lot at Rouge Beach Marsh located at 195 Rouge Hills Drive at Lawrence Avenue East. Click here for a map to the park and some information on the trail. Please arrive between 1:00-1:30pm. The walk will begin at 1:30pm and last approximately 2 hours. Walks take place rain or shine, except during thunderstorms.
